WATERBODY REMEDIATION

TransTech provides a range of waterbody remediation services for ponds and small lakes.

These include but are not limited to:

* Sediment and weed removal

* Water supply assessment and improvement

* Aeration system supply and installation

* Habitat improvement for waterfowl, amphibians 

   and fish

Prior to carrying out improvement works we will consult with environment regulators to ensure that the proposals comply with legislation and are performed and timed so as to cause minimal potential environmental impact.

We do not use chemical applications (e.g. flocculants) as these act only as a short-term remedy that has no real value as a solution for constant water quality problems. In most cases involving eutrophic (organic and nutrient rich) ponds and lakes, chemical application results in a reduction in important vascular plant species which can increase blooms of nuisance algae and planktonic (suspended) algae.
