CONTAMINATED LAND RISK ASSESSMENT & REMEDIATION

A contaminated/polluted land risk assessment involves determining the source, pathway and linkages to receptors of contaminants.

For all sites we can carry out Phase 1 (often referred to as Phase I in the literature), Phase 2 (Phase II) and Phase 3 (Phase III) assessments.

Phase 1 is a desk study, site walkover and risk assessment, Phase 2 is an intrusive investigation and risk assessment and Phase 3 concerns remediation/risk management i.e. breaking the chain from the source to the receptor.

For Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) at fuel filling stations and landfill sites we also have specialist skills and experience in this field.

Our assessments comply with local authority/government/environment regulator criteria.
