BENTHIC SURVEY

Benthic grab sampling and analysis is carried out to determine the health of and biodiversity within the sediment samples.  This can be undertaken for any site where there is a potential impact on communities living on or in the sediment.

For fish farms we can carry out baseline, site specific, standard and extended benthic surveys.

If required, surveys can also be undertaken to define the bathymetric profile and/or substrate of the seabed. This can be carried out using depth sonar/grab profiling or swathe bathymetry using multibeam, interferometry & LiDAR systems.
